Remember to check your packs for which activities you can do this week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Literacy<\/u> &#8211; Listen to the traditional story \u2018 Jack and the Beanstalk\u2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/teach\/school-radio\/english-ks1-jack-and-the-beanstalk-episode-1\/zjfwkmn\">https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/teach\/school-radio\/english-ks1-jack-and-the-beanstalk-episode-1\/zjfwkmn<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Find a set of instructions for planting a seed or a bean \u2013 try Google or this link &#8211; https:\/\/www.science-sparks.com\/bean-in-a-jar\/.<\/p>\n<p>Read the instructions out aloud and then write them out (perhaps in your own words!).<\/p>\n<p>Can you then follow the instructions and plant a seed? Remember to keep watering it! If you don\u2019t have a seed you could maybe try a clipping from another plant you have in your garden \u2013 ask permission first of course!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Numeracy<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. This game could support this &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheppardsoftware.com\/mathgames\/earlymath\/BalloonPopSkip.htm\">http:\/\/www.sheppardsoftware.com\/mathgames\/earlymath\/BalloonPopSkip.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Remember to allow adobe flash player if it doesn\u2019t work first time, any issues you can always try to find another game online to help)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Look in different rooms in your house and go on a number hunt. How many items can you find that have numbers on them? What is the largest number you can find (maybe something like a barcode?)? What is the smallest number you can find? Note these down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>IDL<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Find out what the flag of Saint Patrick looks like and look at how the union flag altered when the flag of Saint Patrick was added. \u00a0Write this information down in your own words as best you can.<\/p>\n<p>You could then use what you have at home to recreate the Saint Patrick Flag in whichever way you like.
