{"id":15403,"date":"2022-01-28T12:20:24","date_gmt":"2022-01-28T12:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/deansprimary\/?p=15403"},"modified":"2022-01-28T12:22:16","modified_gmt":"2022-01-28T12:22:16","slug":"what-have-p6-been-up-to-this-week-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/deansprimary\/2022\/01\/28\/what-have-p6-been-up-to-this-week-10\/","title":{"rendered":"What have P6 been up to this week?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Literacy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We learnt about how important adverbs are when writing.<\/p>\n<p>As part of our narrative science-fiction writing unit we imagined a planet and practised describing in detail.<\/p>\n<p>Reading &#8211; We consolidated our prediction skills in group reading.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Maths<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We learnt about how to create repeating patterns using shape and made some for our partners to complete.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey &#8211; I liked designing posters about triangular and square numbers.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Topic<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>On Thursday it was &#8216;Holocaust Memorial Day&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Jaxson &#8211; I liked the video we watched about Holocaust heroes who saved so many Jewish people.<\/p>\n<p>Hope &#8211; We learnt about propoganda which was persuasive posters designed to make people help win the war.<\/p>\n<p>Kyle &#8211; I liked doing the propoganda posters but I was not prepared for the air raid siren this week!<\/p>\n<p>Bailey &#8211; I liked the &#8216;Dig for Victory&#8217; poster because it would make people healthy.<\/p>\n<p>P.E.<\/p>\n<p>Isabella &#8211; I am proud of my hockey skills &#8211; my passing and scoring.
