Numeracy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We have been learning about place value this week.<\/p>\n

Alexis – I am proud of my maths.<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This week we practised our prediction skills. Based on evidence from the text so far we acted out what we thought might happen next in our class novel.<\/p>\n

We also developed our ability to ask open-ended questions when interviewing a character.<\/p>\n

Finally in writing this week we discovered the different sections to writing a recount and made paper chains representing these different parts which are:<\/p>\n

Sequence of Events<\/p>\n

Personal Comment<\/p>\n

Health<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We have been learning to play basketball.<\/p>\n

Emily – I was surprised that I like basketball.<\/p>\n

Bella – I am getting better at dribbling.<\/p>\n

Kyle – I enjoyed playing the basketball version of piggy in the middle.<\/p>\n

Jaxson – I enjoyed the dribbling game when you had to protect your ball and keep possession.<\/p>\n

Health\/Art<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Emily – I am proud of my silhouette drawing. It turned out better than I thought.<\/p>\n
