This week we looked at pieces of Surrealist artwork by various artists.<\/p>\n
Cameron – It can be quite funny!<\/p>\n
S – Surrealism is real but with a twist.<\/p>\n
Then we designed our own pieces of surrealist art.<\/p>\n
Anna – I enjoyed thinking about what I wanted to draw.<\/p>\n
Grace – I drew an upside-down ice-cream.<\/p>\n
Bailey – I drew the earth as a clock!<\/p>\n
Robbie – I drew a pineapple with legs!<\/p>\n
Numeracy<\/p>\n
We have been practising different addition straategies which initially we found quite challenging.<\/p>\n
Bella – I enjoyed the jump strategy.<\/p>\n
In addition we have continued to practise our times tables.<\/p>\n
Bailey – I enjoy practising tables using ‘Supermovers’ dance video.<\/p>\n
Spelling\/Outdoor Learning<\/p>\n
We took our spelling word list outside and using chalk in the playground practised how to spell using different strategies.<\/p>\n
Debbie – I used bubble writing!<\/p>\n
Summer – I used word pyramids.<\/p>\n
Sophie – I enjoyed the spellings.<\/p>\n
We all thought Kyle did a great job using joined up handwriting to copy his spellings down.<\/p>\n
Writing For a Purpose<\/p>\n
Summer – I enjoyed writing thankyou cards!<\/p>\n
