We learnt about Egyptian and Roman numerals.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey \u2013 I was surprised that the Egyptians used a frog to represent 1,000,000.<\/p>\n<p>Some of us liked the number systems but some of us didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Robbie \u2013 It is way better.Much easier to do.<\/p>\n<p>Lily-Elen \u2013 It is tricky. Our numbers are easier.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Maths<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We learnt about the different types of triangles such as equilateral, isosceles, scalene and right-angled.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Literacy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In our grammar lesson this week we learnt how adverbs can make our writing more interesting.<\/p>\n<p>When writing we wrote another descriptive piece \u2013 this time all about ourselves.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Topic \u2013 Europe<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We started our new topic and enjoyed the map work.<\/p>\n<p>Sophie S \u2013 I didn\u2019t know there were 7 continents<\/p>\n<p>Jaxson \u2013 I enjoyed learning how to greet people in French.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Science \u2013 The Solar System<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With a partner, we have started to research an area of the solar system that we are interested in. In our first session, we used non-fiction books and practised making notes from them.<\/p>\n<p>Bella \u2013 I did not realise Neptune has 8 moons<\/p>\n<p>Robbie \u2013 I was surprised Uranus has 15 moons.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey \u2013 I didn\u2019t know there was a dark side of the moon.<\/p>\n<p>Hope \u2013 I found out there are three dwarf planets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Numeracy This week we learnt about historical number systems.
