Here are some of the things we have been doing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Numeracy\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We are continuing to look at numbers before and after a given number. To help us with this, we have been thinking about our daily routines and what order we do things throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>We have also been working on<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10353\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/deansprimary\/uploads\/sites\/5505\/2020\/09\/04070607\/image0-1-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/deansprimary\/uploads\/sites\/5505\/2020\/09\/04070607\/image0-1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/deansprimary\/uploads\/sites\/5505\/2020\/09\/04070607\/image0-1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/deansprimary\/uploads\/sites\/5505\/2020\/09\/04070607\/image0-1-rotated.jpeg 945w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/> dot patterns and coming up with strategies for seeing numbers in different ways.<\/p>\n<p>Euan &#8211; &#8220;The number after 7 is 8.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Macy May &#8211; \u00a0&#8220;We did dot patterns with a partner.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>IDL<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This week, we have read all about grey and white crayon. We created our very own emotion crayons and the results were fantastic! We came up with so many different emotions! We also discovered that white crayon felt rather useless as nobody ever seen him. We had a discussion about how white crayon is very useful and then used paint to investigate what happened to different colours when we added white to them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10346\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/public\/deansprimary\/uploads\/sites\/5505\/2020\/09\/04065404\/03-08-Emotion-Crayons-.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1260\" height=\"945\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jordon &#8211; &#8220;We mixed white and blue to make light blue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Vrishti &#8211; &#8220;White and red makes light pink.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Writing<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We have started to look at descriptive writing. This week, we discussed the &#8220;describing bubble&#8221; and how this will help us in our writing. We had a think about all of the different describing words relating to colour, shape, size, number and doing words.<\/p>\n<p>Archie P &#8211; &#8220;We drew doing words like jumping.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Louie &#8211; &#8220;Eating is a doing word.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Summer &#8211; &#8220;I know pink is a colour word.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Max &#8211; &#8220;Five is a number word.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Have a fantastic weekend everyone!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have had a busy week here in Primary 2!
