Molly and Dinah decided to go left up the hill but they didn’t know their class had went right down the way.  That’s how they got lost.   The girls passed a stranger in the zoo but they knew not to speak to people they didn’t know.  Dinah really wanted to see dinosaurs like the t-rex or velociraptors Molly reminded her that they wouldn’t be in the zoo because they were extinct.

Unfortunately the girls got stuck in a crowd of adults and children from another school.  Then, the Penguin Parade started so it all got very scary and busy.  They felt even more lost!

The girls saw the lions ahead.  Molly didn’t like lions and thought they were bad but it they were really lovely to watch.  There were 10 lions.  4 of them were cubs, 2 daddy lions and 4 mummy lions. The cubs were playing and the grown lions were looking out for their children.  The zoo keeper came into the enclosure and started to feed the lions meat.  Molly hoped it wasn’t from the zebras!

Molly spotted a girl who worked at the zoo.  The girl introduced herself as ‘Emma’.  Molly told Emma what happened. They hadn’t listened to where they were to meet the teacher and got themselves lost.  They needed to find everyone soon before the bus left.

Mrs Jackson suddenly saw the girls yellow and brown, straight hair popping out from beside the lion cage.   Many other children from their class saw them too.  They had all been quite worried about them.

Mrs Jackson told them how she was so happy that they had made it back and to be careful next time. She announced that as a class treat, everyone could have a stop off at Almondell Park for a play in the sunshine.
