{"id":12105,"date":"2026-06-10T15:40:36","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T14:40:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/calderwood\/?p=12105"},"modified":"2026-06-10T15:40:36","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T14:40:36","slug":"calderwood-ski-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/calderwood\/2026\/06\/10\/calderwood-ski-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Calderwood Ski Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>Calderwood Ski Programme \u2013 Expression of Interest<\/b><\/div>\n<div>We are delighted to be exploring the launch of a Calderwood Ski Programme in partnership with Midlothian Snowsports Centre, starting in August 2026.<\/div>\n<div>The programme is expected to run on Friday afternoons from 4.30pm-6pm,<\/div>\n<div><b>21 August to 9 October<\/b>\u00a0(8-week block).<\/div>\n<div>Depending on demand, we hope to offer either:<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 20 Beginner spaces, or<br \/>\n\u2022 10 Beginner spaces and 10 Improver spaces (Levels 2\u20133)<\/div>\n<div>The final cost has not yet been confirmed by Midlothian Snowsports Centre, however we expect the price to be approximately <b>\u00a365 per child for the full 8-week block<\/b>. Please be aware &#8211; the cost may be slightly higher.<\/div>\n<div>Parents should be aware that these sessions are heavily subsidised. For comparison, a standard 4-week block booked directly through Midlothian Snowsports Centre currently costs \u00a3128 per child and is due to increase from August.<\/div>\n<div>Please note:<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 This is <b>not a school-run activity<\/b>.<br \/>\n\u2022 Parents\/carers will be responsible for transporting and accompanying their child to and from the sessions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Children must be supervised by their parent\/carer throughout the lesson.<br \/>\n\u2022 Places will be allocated subject to demand and availability.<\/div>\n<div>At this stage we are seeking expressions of interest only.<\/div>\n<div>If you would be interested in your child participating, please contact<\/div>\n<div>sarahgny@gmail.com\u00a0 with an expression of interest by <strong>Friday 19th June.<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Calderwood Ski Programme \u2013 Expression of Interest We are delighted to be exploring the launch of a Calderwood Ski Programme in partnership with Midlothian Snowsports Centre, starting in August 2026.
