If you would prefer your child not to attend this event, please contact the school and alternative arrangements can be made.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calderwood Communication: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Parking:<\/strong> With the change in weather, we have seen an increased number of cars using the carpark and area around the school. We would request if you are choosing to use the car park, please use it safely and be mindful of the no\u00a0<span data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">parking<\/span>areas which are there to help ensure that all of our children are safe when crossing the road. The cones along Nethershiel Road are to note a no parking area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Routine reminders<\/strong>: With Calderwood being a large school the reminders below are to help ensure our office can run efficiently and effectively:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pupil absence:<\/strong> A reminder to families that it is their responsibility to please ensure they contact the school office by email (preferably) or phone by 9am to make us aware of their child\u2019s absence. Failure to report an absence may result in an escalation to the safe arrivals team or a house visit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lateness: <\/strong>This week approximately 10% of our children have been coming in late through the front door meaning they are missing the start of their school day. Please ensure your children are in the playground for the gates closing so they can enter the school with their clan champion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>iPay: <\/strong>All pupil lunches should be recorded at home by the parent\/carer including a packed lunch from home. Otherwise children are using their learning time in the morning to order lunches. If you are ordering a packed lunch for a Friday, this should be done by Thursday lunchtime to give the kitchen staff sufficient time to order the sandwiches.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Appointments: <\/strong>Families should contact the office via email (preferably) or phone, in advance of appointments so they can organise with the clan teacher for the child to be at the office on time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Calderwood Compliments: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Calderwood Ski Team:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/calderwood\/2025\/12\/02\/calderwood-ski-team-1st-december-2025\/\">You can find an update from our Ski Team here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Christmas Fayre<\/strong>: Thank you to Glee, Choir, Doune Clan and Mr Kasa for performing at our Christmas Fayre. Also to our Primary 7 helpers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Choir: <\/strong>Our choir had a fantastic time at the St. Mary&#8217;s Church Christmas Choir Festival. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Calderwood_Pri\/status\/1994474659702616196?s=20\">You can see their photos here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christmas Fayre Update from Parent Council: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Parent Council would like to thank everyone who came along to the Calderwood Christmas Fayre on Friday 28 November.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was lovely to see so many families and friendly faces and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped in the run up and on the day &#8211; we couldn\u2019t have done it without you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We also wanted to say thank you to everyone who took part in this year\u2019s Calderwood Christmas Prize Draw and helped us smash our target of \u00a33500!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Emails are being sent out to winners so please keep an eye out (and also check your Junk mail!).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With lots going on with post-fayre and prize draw admin plus the high school catchment consultation, we\u2019re not in a position to share final fundraising totals yet but we can confirm that together we\u2019ve raised a significant amount of money for the school and nursery again this year!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who has contributed &#8211; whether that\u2019s through your time, donations or support.
