The Calderwood ski team performed exceptionally well yesterday at the Scottish School Snowsports Skier and Boarder Cross Race.<\/p>\n

The course was particularly challenging\u2014set over the Hillend freestyle section, with steep jumps and high-adrenaline twists and turns. We are incredibly proud of all the children who competed at such a high standard.<\/p>\n

A special mention must go to\u00a0Harper<\/strong>, who showed tremendous bravery in overcoming her fear of jumps to take home the\u00a0gold medal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For someone only six years old,\u00a0Niamh<\/strong>\u00a0was fearless and unstoppable. She is certainly one to watch\u2014without doubt a future Calderwood star racer!<\/p>\n

\nRuairidh<\/strong>\u00a0was his usual cool, calm and collected self, though even he struggled to contain his excitement when he learned he had taken\u00a02nd place<\/strong>, grinning from ear to ear.<\/p>\n

Charlie<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Aaron<\/strong>\u00a0also deserve special recognition. Their age category is incredibly competitive, yet they demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, bravery and resilience, pushing themselves to compete at a very high level.<\/p>\n
