In Burns clan we identified what we already know about descriptive writing, as we completed our cold assessment. A cold assessment means we had no help from our champion and everything we wrote about was based on all our amazing and creative knowledge from previous learning. Our topic was ‘all about me’ and we used a variety of adverbs, nouns and adjectives to create fantastic pieces of writing.<\/p>\n

On Thursday we created a descriptive piece of art work to match our writing, we included lots of interesting and unique descriptive things about ourselves.<\/p>\n

Later in the week, we explored what adjectives, adverbs and nouns are as we identified them in a text using highlighters, we also created beautiful posters for our wall to remind us of their definitions.<\/p>\n
