This week in Primary Seven we have been working hard. In science, we have learned about the Plant Earth’s core, the continent Pangea and rocks and fossils. More than 250 million years ago, Pangea was known as the super continent as it was all of the continents joined together. Around 180 million years ago, it began to split to make the world’s continents which we know today. Scotland was much nearer the equator with a much warmer climate. It was known as a tropical place and fossil evidence that palaeontologists have discovered back this up.
In our homework this week, we were asked to research three topics of World War II, which included rationing, the Blitz, and evacuation. Some people discovered that children were evacuated to countries abroad instead of just Britain, but it was then stopped when one of the boats carrying children was torpedoed by a submarine.
Finally, in PE, we have been focusing on our skills such as lay-ups, bounce passes and dribbling. We then put these skills into use when playing mini half court games and full court tournaments.
