Mr\u00a0Macarella and a mission into\u00a0space!<\/span><\/h1>\n

It was great to see everyone happy to return to music and to welcome some new faces joining us for musical fun too. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We began the term with some familiar songs and activities to help settle everyone in before focusing on silly Mr. Macarella. This clapping song tells us how he didn\u2019t use his umbrella to keep dry and how 8 raindrops fell on him. Then we all count and clap while learning about the different parts of the body where the rain fell. We then moved onto playing the rain sounds and the 8 raindrops on different instruments as the rain drops fell on his musicians. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This term we also have some smaller Music groups with Lammermuir and early Primary children focusing on musical play and exploration, intensive interaction, movement and nursery rhymes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Secondary\u00a0<\/strong>had two cross-class\u00a0music\u00a0groups and\u00a0some also\u00a0have\u00a01-1 sessions\u00a0this term. One group began\u00a0working\u00a0on\u00a0choosing and playing\u00a0instruments\u00a0that will help tell the story of a journey into space. This will\u00a0help them work as a group with solo spots\u00a0on their chosen instruments\u00a0that will go towards their SQA awards.\u00a0The other group are enjoying playing\u00a0and moving\u00a0along to music from different genres as they work towards their ASDAN awards.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We will continue the fun into next term, adding in seasonal songs for Halloween and Christmas.\u00a0<\/span> Have a great October break!<\/span><\/p>\n
