The National 3 Applications of Mathematics course has no external exam &#8211; it is entirely internally assessed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">MANAGE MONEY AND DATA<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"block-40f6a0e535bf4db38b99\" class=\"sqs-block html-block sqs-block-html\" data-block-type=\"2\">\n<div class=\"sqs-block-content\">\n<p>The general aim of this Unit is to enable learners to apply their skills, knowledge and understanding of mathematics and numeracy to manage money and data in real-life contexts. Learners will build on their mathematical and numerical skills to determine factors affecting income and expenditure, budgeting and saving. Learners will also organise, present and interpret data based on real-life contexts.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">SHAPE, SPACE AND MEASURE<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"block-e675b30903d2bed0a7c1\" class=\"sqs-block html-block sqs-block-html\" data-block-type=\"2\">\n<div class=\"sqs-block-content\">\n<p>The general aim of this Unit is to enable learners to apply their skills, knowledge and understanding of shape, space and measures in real-life contexts. Learners will build on their mathematical and numerical skills by using measures and elementary geometry to tackle real-life situations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\">NUMERACY<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"block-294d462496dfd2c3efe2\" class=\"sqs-block html-block sqs-block-html\" data-block-type=\"2\">\n<div class=\"sqs-block-content\">\n<p>The general aim of this Unit is to develop learners\u2019 numerical and information handling skills to solve simple, real-life problems involving number, money, time and measurement.
