T-Rific T-Factor!

Congratulations to the P7 group who successfully organised the T-Factor Red Nose Day Special.  The standard of the finalists was extremely high and we could tell they had all put a t of effort into their performances.

It was a tough job for the judges but they decided to award joint 1st place to Michael in P7 for his juggling and Kirsty in P1 for singing ‘Tomorrow’ from the musical ‘Annie’.  2nd went to Sam in P3 for his magic trick.

The lucky winner of the hamper was Aimee in P5 and from the picture I think you can tell she was very pleased with her win!

The money is still coming in but so far the total raised stands at £142!!!

Well done Anya, Olivia, Ellie and Coby!

T-Factor 2013: Red Nose Day Special

Pupils in Primary 7 have been organising this charity fundraising event.  The auditions for the T’- Factor Final took place last Wednesday (6th February) and 9 lucky hopefuls have been put through to the final.  The final is on Thursday 21st February at 11.30am and is open to family and friends of the school.  So please come along and be entertained by our talented pupils!

During the week leading up to the T-Factor, the P7 pupils will also be selling the 2013 Red Noses, which are able to stand on their own!  So please bring along you £1 to buy one of these at any break time! 1 per pupil only.

Finally on Thursday 21st February we would like pupils to come dressed down in red and/or with a crazy hair style.  Pupils are asked to pay £1 with all proceeds going to Red Nose 2013.  If you have any questions please get it touch.

Waste Week Focus

The Eco committee will be launching their Food Waste campaign at an assembly next Tuesday 19th Feb. In conjunction with the Waste Week initiative, they will be looking at food waste and packaging disposal in both the dining hall and pack lunch hall. They will be rewarding stickers, pencils and certificates to the pupils who reduce food and packaging waste and show they are Waste aware!

The Big Brunch

For ‘Day for Change 2013: Focus on Food’ the Pupil Council are running ‘The Big Brunch’ on Friday 8th February 11am-12noon in the school dining hall.

On offer will be a continental style brunch with croissants, cheese slices, fruit kebabs, pain du chocolat and fruit juice.  These will be charged at 50p each.  The pupils will visit the brunch with their own class but parents are welcome to come at the child’s class time.
