Earth Hour Dress Brightly Day – March 28th

On Friday 28th March in Torphichen Primary we will be celebrating Earth Hour by having a dress-brightly day, where pupils can pay £1 to come to school wearing brightly coloured or sparkly clothes. The Eco Committee are hoping to use the money raised to organise the adoption of a wild animal through the WWF (World Wildlife Fund).
We will also be switching off as many electrical items in school on the same day, between 11a.m and 12midday. This is to recognise the worldwide event organised by the WWF, which officially takes place on Saturday 29th March between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. We hope you will take part in this event. If you take part at home, please take photographs of what you did and we can display these on the Eco board in school. Either bring in a printed photo or email them into school and we can print them for you here.

The helicopter crashed to the ground and surpisingly, Steve saw a colourful dinosaur!…

CEM Adaptive Assessment

As part of our assessment of pupil learning, pupils from P1-P7 will be tested on their literacy and numeracy skills over the coming weeks and into next term.

These diagnostic assessments are carried out using a software package that West Lothian Council have rolled out across all their primary schools.  The link below will provide additional information:
