Work began yesterday with the garden, as you may have seen already!
We were kindly donated 9 tins of brightly coloured paint by Crown Paint in Livingston and this mean the pupils in P4/5 could begin their much anticipated face lift for the garden. Typical that the rain and small snowflakes decided to begin the minute we stepped outside however this did not dampen out spirits!
We also started work on ‘jazzing’ up some planters for the front of the school and these will be put in place so keep a look out!
If you would like to get involved please come along on a Thursday afternoon from about 2.15pm (unless it is torrential rain!)
We now have a You Tube channel for the school which we will be using to post videos of our pupils’ learning, such as the Scottish poetry winners and class assemblies.
When we post the videos we have the option to make them ‘unlisted’ which means we will post a link here, on the school blog, for you to then gain access to the videos. This means the videos will not be in the public domain on You Tube. However, in order to ensure the safety of all our pupils we will be attaching a permission slip to the forthcoming newsletter for parents and guardians to sign that they agree to their child/ren being ‘posted’ onto You Tube. Once we have all the permission slips returned we will be able to start posting videos.
Primary 1 2 have been learning about vertebrates and invertebrates. Pupils will be learning about jellyfish habitat in lessons to follow and in art lessons are making their own jellyfish to add to the class seascape.
