P4/5 have been busy changing the classroom into a Titanic theme. Without wishing to give too much away, they have been measuring, estimating, researching and teamworking to produce some exciting scenes in the classroom. All will be revealed at the Showcase!

Primary 1 visit Leyden Farm
Primary 1 enjoyed a visit to Leyden Farm, Kirknewton today. They had great fun seeing and feeding the animals. Although it was very cold and snowy they were still able to experience sitting in the tractor and forklift and also sitting on the quad bike. Farmer Stewart and Karen from RHET were both very impressed with the knowledge that they displayed and also with the quality of questions which they asked.
Excavation Excitement
P6/7 are currently turning their class into an exavation site. As they are preparing to show their knowledge on The Aztecs, it was decided that the best way to do this was to imagine that our classroom is an excavation site in the middle of Mexico. Clay is being used to mould skulls for display. We are all looking forward to Showcase Day.
Cairnpapple Video
At last, the Historic Scotland film about last year’s Cairnpapple topic can be viewed online. The resource pack itself has not yet been released but the film maker has the film on his website so we can have a sneaky look. Happy memories of a great open day run by the pupils.
