Red Nose Day Event
The Pupil Council would like to thank everyone for joining in at our Red Nose Day event. We raised £394.10. We think it was a jolly good effort.
WORLDWIDE FOOD CHALLENGE
The Global Citizenship Committee is challenging you to eat different food from around the world. We would like you to take a photo of yourself eating your tasty food and write a comment telling us what you’re eating. You could try anything from sushi to pasta. Good luck with your challenge and enjoy your tasting! You have until the Easter break to show us your skills.
Red Nose Day
The Pupil Council organised a sponsored skip/jump -athon fund raising event for Red Nose Day on Friday 13th March. Luckily the weather was very good and all the classes in the school were able to take part in various activities outside. During the week prior to the event, the pupil council members also sold red noses. A big thank you to everyone who took part by buying noses, wearing red or getting sponsors. We will let everyone know the final total when all the sponsor money has been collected. Here are some photos from Friday.
Learning more about ships…
Primary 4/5 were very pleased to have a visit from Murray’s Dad today, who came into talk to about working on a ship. The class had lots of questions to ask, including the jobs of the crew, what health and safety is like aboard modern ships, and even what the crew do to relax when out at sea. It was very interesting to compare to what life was like on the Titanic.
I wonder if anyone in the class can post some interesting facts from the visit?
