West Lothian Council has launched its public information campaign Winter Ready West Lothian 2016/17.
The campaign highlights the council’s preparations for possible severe weather and encourages local people to prepare now. Severe winter weather can include snow, frost and low temperatures, high winds and flooding.
If our school is closed due to severe weather, learning and teaching will continue through the school blog and Glow. There will be a selection of activities appearing on the blog in the coming days which children can complete at home in the event of school closure.
Many thanks to our very committed and hard-working Parent Council. They were in attendance at both performances of our Christmas Concert, selling raffle tickets for some fabulous looking hampers.
Thanks to the generosity of our audience, and that of everyone who kindly donated gifts for the hampers, the Parent Council are thrilled to announce that they raised a whopping £425!
Thank you to all who attended the Torphichen Christmas Concert on Tuesday evening or Wednesday afternoon.
The boys in girls in Primary 1/2 gave a superb, Scottish-take on the Nativity story in “The McTivity”. Their performance skills were excellent and they proved to be very confident individuals.
Not to be outdone, Primary 3 – 7 then took us on a tour of Scotland’s famous folk and landmarks in “Och Aye the News, Tales Through Time”. Our actors were terrific and spoke so clearly, and the singing from the classes was fantastic.
Just a reminder that milk orders for the period January to March 2017 should be returned to the school office by tomorrow, 14th December 2016. The cost for milk is £11.40.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to process orders submitted after tomorrow.
