P6 have been revisiting stratagems for spelling. We have been focusing on identifying the syllables within a word. Working with a partner, they had to use the musical instruments to sound out the syllables. It made for a very noisy classroom!

P6 have been getting to grips with reading, partitioning and mentally adding multiples to numbers beyond 100,000. They have been developing strategies to mentally add this morning so that they are quicker and will not need to rely on the the good old ‘chimney sums’.
