P5/6 Learning Update

“We have been learning about angles. We learned how to add angles in a triangle and on a straight line and we learned how to measure angles with a protractor.” Chloe

“We have been learning about the Terracotta Army in our IDL lessons. We designed our own warriors and then made them from clay.” Ewan

“We have been learning how to use different types of language, such as hyperbole and have been using this language to create poems. We wrote an ode, which is a poem written to something you think is amazing.” Tom

“In PE we have been developing our jumping skills. We worked in groups and we designed a course which involved different types of jump.” Euan

“We have been learning yoga moves in PE. I learned how to do tree pose.” Poppy.

Sporting Success

Congratulations to Merryn who has won 10 medals at the Dwarf Games.
There was a whopping 225 Athletes from all over Great Britain who took part in the 2019 Games and Merryn was in the older age group, under 11 for athletics, juniors for team sport & under 10 for swimming. She came home with 4 Golds in 25M butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle & was also awarded a special bronze medal for being the closest time to Ellie Simmonds at her age. She also received Bronze for 60M & 40M Sprint, Silver for Shott Putt & 400M cycle & Silver for Hockey.
Her training will continue as she would like to go to the World Games in Germany 2021.
