Primary 2 pupils have been learning what Division means, understanding sharing into equal groups, repeated subtraction and dividing using a number line. Primary 1 pupils have been learning the difference between 14 and 40, 15 and 50 etc as well as working on teen numbers; different ways to make the numbers as well as the numbers before and after.

This week we have been learning about the number 16 and what multiplication means. Pupils counted out 16 tallies and ten frames as well as working out the numbers before and after. In multiplication, pupils used ‘Think Boards’ to show their understanding of what multiplication really means.

Pupils in Primary 1/2 have been learning about the St Andrew’s story. They also learned about other Scottish symbols, the thistle and made Scottish flags with a twist. First pupils painted thistles before using rulers to draw in the lines for the wash.
