P4/5 have enjoyed their Roman topic this term, finding out many fantastic facts. Applying their Maths skills using decimals to design and construct Roman Armour and Catapults. In literacy using persuasive language to create Roman Army recruitment posters and continuing to create fun ways to practice their spelling words.

On Red nose day the Pupil Council were selling cakes. They also were selling Red noses to raise money. We raised £222.65 in total.

At the P4/5 Assembly Adam and Kirsty opened it with a splendid performance speaking and translating Latin half right half wrong! Then Alfie came as Julius Ceaser and got killed by Douglas, Jacob and Matthew. After Alfie got killed the students sang the Hadrian’s Wall song. Then the students stood up and said an interesting Roman fact each , after that Izzy talked about the contriburnium while Chase,Alex,Skye, Theo, Pheobe, Lewis, Murray and Alexander played the contriburnium, marching around the room. To finish Alfie came out and thanked everybody for coming then he got chased around the hall by the contriburnium and the soldiers.

We are presenting Roman talks that we researched at home.

We are also making Roman shields that are red, gold,silver, bronze and white.

We are also making persuasive Roman Army posters.

P4/5 have been making models of Onagers (Catapults) out of lollie sticks,string,glue and paper, they actually work!

We have been finding out interesting ways to do our spelling.
