P4/5 Lowport Camp
What a fantastic start to our trip. We arrived safe and sound and were faced with our first challenge…to make our own beds. Although our walk to Annett House was a bit drizzly, we arrived in high spirits.
Isaac thought it was very interesting and he learned a lot about Mary Queen of Scots. The maze was fun too.
Chase loved the maze and she thought it was fun to get the chance to be chained to the stalks!
After lunch, we set out for our next challenge… Orienteering.
Lewis is very proud of his achievement today as he completed lots of courses.
Jacob and Will were the champions and were very quick to understand how to follow the map.
Izzy, Kirsty and Leah got lost a lot, but persevered with lots of giggling.
Dinner was delicious and before we knew it, we were heading off to the swimming pool.
Lauren loved splashing around and got soaked under the water tipper regularly.
The highlight was of course, the chippy on the way home. Yum!
Bedtime has arrived and everyone is settling for bed, ready for a restful night’s sleep.
Tomorrow brings sailing, archery and problem solving followed by our disco!
Tasting Radish leaf .
As part of learning how to make a healthy snack we decided to harvest our Radish Leaf that we were growing.
Before we ate it we washed our hands and we washed the leaves to make it clean. When we were Tasting Radish leaf it was very very hot on it’s own. We had bread and Flora with it to make it balanced. It had carbs, dairy, fiber and a little fat in it.
What we learned last week.
We learned what materials were best to make a boat. The best materials were card and sugar paper, the straws floated but sank when we put a rock or marble on it. We used card, sugar-paper and artstraws.
We have been learning about angles in maths.
And we did sound scapes in art.
