It has been a busy first week back to school for P5/6. Here are some of our reflections on what we have been learning this week:

“We learned about a timeline of historical events. We learned why the Scottish Wars of Independence happened. We also learned that there are different types of historical evidence, primary and secondary sources.” Nethuki, Euan, Tom, Cameron and Lucy

“In French we learned the French words for different parts of the body. In Spanish we learned the names for people in your family. We also learned how different Spanish speaking countries celebrated New Year.” Georgia, Izzy, Luca, Daniel, Oskar, Alexander, Sarah.

“In Maths we have been using the rounding and adjusting strategy for addition and subtraction.We also used addition when calculating perimeter, sometimes this involved adding decimals.” Joe, Lottie, Laura, Ewan, Elliot

“In art we learned about Surrealism. We looked at art by the Spanish artist Joan Miro and we used the paint package on the laptops to create our own pictures in the same style.” Rosie, Sophie, Andrew, Fin, Kathryn,
