Hello, from all at Lowport!
What a way to spend our second day at camp! We have all had another fantastic fun-packed day.
After a great sleep, everyone woke up feeling refreshed and ready to go. A huge breakfast set us up for our three activities, Problem Solving (team games), Sailing and Archery.
Tensho, Adam and Phoebe loved sailing. They enjoyed getting the chance to sail their own boat and jump in the cold loch!
Sailing was a favourite with Matthew and Murray too.
Lucy and Euan enjoyed archery the most because they hit the target. Holly and Nethuki loved archery because they played the ‘pizza game.’
Adrien and Alfie were real team players when transferring their ‘toxic fuel’through the obstacle course, to their rocket.
Mathew and Miller really enjoyed walking round the loch after dinner.
Douglas, Theo and Luca were great dancers at our disco this evening. Alex showed off his great dancing skills too.
We had a great game of stop the bus followed by a yummy supper of hot chocolate, banana loaf and toast. Now settling to our DVD Ready for a well deserved rest.
Tomorrow is our last day. The weather forecast predicts that it will be lovely. We are looking forward to our last activity of sailing, problem solving and archery. Followed by a short walk and a tour of Linlithgow Palace by the Primary 7 children from Linlithgow Primary.
Thank you for all of the wonderful comments left on our post from last night. It was lovely to share them all at group time.
See you all tomorrow.
What a fantastic start to our trip. We arrived safe and sound and were faced with our first challenge…to make our own beds. Although our walk to Annett House was a bit drizzly, we arrived in high spirits.
Isaac thought it was very interesting and he learned a lot about Mary Queen of Scots. The maze was fun too.
Chase loved the maze and she thought it was fun to get the chance to be chained to the stalks!
After lunch, we set out for our next challenge… Orienteering.
Lewis is very proud of his achievement today as he completed lots of courses.
Jacob and Will were the champions and were very quick to understand how to follow the map.
Izzy, Kirsty and Leah got lost a lot, but persevered with lots of giggling.
Dinner was delicious and before we knew it, we were heading off to the swimming pool.
Lauren loved splashing around and got soaked under the water tipper regularly.
The highlight was of course, the chippy on the way home. Yum!
Bedtime has arrived and everyone is settling for bed, ready for a restful night’s sleep.
Tomorrow brings sailing, archery and problem solving followed by our disco!
Primary 1/2 have an aeroplane role play area in their classroom and needed in-flight magazines. They wrote about places to visit in New York as part of their New York Topic and used adventurous adjectives to persuade the reader to visit.
P6/7 have been contrasting Hawaii with Scotland. Â We created posters to show our learning. Â These are now displayed in our class.
‘I learned that it is illegal to have a hamster as a pet in Hawaii’ Alexander
‘I learned that the Hawaiian language only has 12 letters compared to 26 letters’ Ewan F
‘The national tree in Hawaii is Kukui’ Euan M
