P3/4 would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Mr Kao who brought his telescope into school today. We loved your fascinating powerpoint and we enjoyed asking you questions about our solar system. You have really inspired us to find out lots more about how The Egyptians used astronomy to understand time and the yearly calendar.
It was a real pleasure to do so. They asked some really good questions. I particularly was impressed in that they were interested in how things work, and had heard about black holes before. Also about what it would be like to be in space – not that I know! Hope the topic goes well, and I definitely encourage other parents to contribute if they can – its enormous fun, and their enthusiasm is so infectious!
Great that we have parents in the village to come and share skills and knowledge with the children.
Luca hadn’t stopped talking about space ever since! Sounds like a very inspiring talk – thank you Mr Kao!
