Primary 1/2 pupils have been discussing the importance of electricity in our lives. Today they were investigating sockets, plugs and switches. They also learned what a plug looks like inside when it has been wired correctly.
Sadly, the weather was against us on Friday morning and we had to cancel our planned event on the hill itself. However, we quickly adapted our plans and held the open morning in the school itself. The event was a great success with family and friends being invited to have a guided tour of of the site (using our 3D wall display), try out some Neolithic crafts including pottery, weaving, mask making and bread making. Hopefully, pupils will get the chance to take family/friends to the site during their own time, where they can explain again why Cairnpapple is such an important local historic site. Thank you to all those who came to share our learning with us. We are all looking forward to seeing Historic Scotland’s film of the event!
