Pupils in Primary 1/2/3/ were delighted to welcome parents, carers, nannies, friends and grandparents to their open afternoon on Thursday 27th March. Great fun was had by all who participated in the activities which had been chosen for them by the children.
Thank you very much to everyone who attended the event.
Primary 1/2 enjoyed a drumming workshop today. They learned to play cajon drums from Peru, agogo bells and ganza shakers from Brazil. They all worked really hard and even managed to perform a piece with four different rhythms being played at the same time. They also enjoyed Chris and Daniel’s performance on the drums
P3/4/5 enjoyed an eventful day at Hampden Park today. As Ryan was a finalist in the Show Racism the Red Card competition, the class were invited to have a tour around the stadium and its museum before attending a star-studded award ceremony. The biggest highlight was hearing Ryan announced as the winner of the P1-4 category with the next most popular part being collecting autographs from the footballers who were present. A memorable day!
Ryan’s design for a Show Racism the Red Card poster was awarded first prize today at an exciting award ceremony at Hampden Park, Glasgow. His mum and dad were at the event, along with P3/4/5 class. He was given two signed footballs and a £200 cheque to spend on resources for the school. Well done Ryan!! What an amazing achievement!
