Primary 5/6/7 would like to thank everyone who came to the Christmas Carol Service this afternoon. Thank you also, for the very generous donations given for the refreshments afterwards.
Everyone was is in good spirits and the children all agreed that they enjoyed coming together to celebrate and spread Christmas cheer.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Pupils in Primary 1/2/3 had great fun at their Christmas Party today. During the Enterprise focus in school the pupils planned the party, wrote invitations, designed the programme, identified the food and drink which they wanted and the games they wanted to play. They also made the decorations and sandwiches. Today all their hard work was rewarded with the successful running of their party.
Pupils in Primary 1 and Primary 2 enjoyed wearing their Christmas jumpers to school day. There were some very interesting designs with some inventive personal adaptations on show.
Over the past couple of weeks, P3/4 have had another two professionals into class to talk to them about their jobs and what they do to take care of us! Firstly we were joined by Mrs. Wood (Kirsty’s mum) who is a doctor. She brought in lots her medical instruments for us to look at and told us how they work. The pupils particularly enjoyed Mrs. Wood testing my reflexes and doing some other tests! Today we were visited by Mr. Murray (Kyle’s dad) who an Assistant Chief Fire Officer. He dressed Mackenzie up in a firefighter’s uniform which gave us all a laugh. We then discovered that there is a lot more to being a firefighter than just fighting fires; road accidents, CBRN (chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear) and water rescue were just some of the examples Mr. Murray shared with us. If we need our homes fire safety checked, Scotland Fire and Rescue can do this free of charge! A big thank you to both of our visitors!
