Guy Fawkes was hanged for trying to blow up the parliament buildings.

Guy Fawkes was in charge of looking after the gunpowder. If he hadn’t have been caught he would have been the person that lit it.
Guy Fawkes was hung drawn and quartered for trying to blow up the house of parliament he was going to be hung but before they could hang him he pulled on the rope around his neck and killed him self.His dead body was attached to a horse drawn carriage and pulled around his village to signal that he had done something wrong .Guy Fawkes es dead body was cut up before being tossed on a bonfire we now celebrate the 5th of November.

The reason we do Bonfire Night is because It’s the anniversary of an attempt to blow up the House of Parliament by a man called Guy Fawkes.
Guy Fawkes, whose real name was Guido, planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament on the 5th of November 1605 but his was plan was discovered. He wanted to blow it up to assassinate King James 1.They wanted to restore Protestant England to Catholicism and end persecution of their faith.
On the night itself , Guy is placed on top of the bonfire , which is then set alight ; and the fireworks displays fill the sky.
The largest chocolate firework was measuring 3m high and 1.5m in diameter and containing 60kg of Swiss Cailler chocolates. The firework was released in Zurich on New Year’s Eve 2002.
