Primary Four Weekly Reflection

We have had a busy week in Primary Four. We loved our workshop by Roman Tales on Tuesday, it was a great way to finish our topic on the Romans, where we go to dress up and act like real Roman Soldiers. We also loved the small museum and display.

Primary Four Reflections on their First Camp at Lowport

This week was a very exciting week for primary four as the whole class went for one night to Lowport for their first school camp experience. We had lots of fun and enjoyed the range of activities we took part in.

“I liked going on a forest adventure because we played follow the leader and found a table with food on it that squirrels had been eating. We also got to go under a tunnel and it was fun” -Alex

We have reached the end of Term 3 and all the boys and girls in primary four are very excited for Easter and the Easter holidays.

Miss Eunson has been very impressed to see all the boys and girls in Primary Four so interested in our STEM space topic. It was great to see Emma and Carla both bringing in information from home to add to our space topic.

We have had a very fun week in primary four and really enjoyed getting to perform our Roman play to the school on Wednesday afternoon. We were delighted that so many people came to see us perform and share our knowledge of our topic The Romans.

Primary 4 Weekly News – Friday 2nd February

On Monday, we welcomed Miss Gracie into our classroom who is going to be working alongside Miss Eunson for the next five weeks.

This week we have been working hard practising and preparing for our short roman play which we will be performing at our class assembly next week . We have been researching Roman clothing, making our own props, outfits and costumes. We hope to see you all there next week (Wednesday 7th of February at 2.15pm) so we can show off our knowledge of the Romans and our learning from our topic.

On Thursday we enjoyed our day with the whole school focusing on Health and Wellbeing and where our next steps are as a school. We talked about the SHANNARI wellbeing indicators and thought of examples of how we feel and stay Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible, Included and Safe at school.

Primary 4 News

We have had a busy and exciting week this week and have all been working hard in primary four.

Some of our highlights this week were: on Tuesday we had visitors from the Royal Bank of Scotland to do money workshops which was great fun.  Then we had our joint school ceilidh on Wednesday night and also really enjoyed the glow disco organised by the Junior Road Safety officers today!

On Monday, in writing we learned about the features of Cinquain poems and wrote our own Cinquain poem about Burns Night. We then redrafted our poems and designed our own tartan for a background and these are going to be displayed in the school.

Today, we have been focusing on how we can improve our sentences in writing by using different types of connectives, including complex connectives. We  worked together with a partner to write examples of good sentences using connectives and have added these to our writing wall.
