Every year, the goverment conducts a survey of children at p4 and p7 in either numeracy or literacy and children are selected randomly from every primary school to take part. The purpose of the survey is to track how children’s performace varies from year to year and to identify the areas of the curriculum that children are finding difficult. This year,we have had 6 children selected to take part in the survey and, for the first time, some of it is being done over the internet, on GLOW. This is quite an exciting develoment and could pave the way for similar suveys in the future.
