We returned from our Golden Time ‘Mask Making’ group looking rather strange!

This week we started our project on the Olympics.  We have been investigating the Olympic and Paralympic Values and have explored the stories of some famous Olympians who have demonstrated these.  We were particularly moved by the story of Derek Redmond.  Check out his story by following the link below:

After exploring the various pieces of control technology that we have in school, we were challenged to create a game which incorporated one of them.  We had great fun programming the traffic lights to work in sequence and lighting up the facial features of the clown – take at look for yourself:

As part of our Science Project on ‘Electricity & Waves’, we have been investigating electrical circuits.  We can now: name the common electrical components used in circuits; build series and parallel circuits and explain the difference between them; draw circuits diagrams to represent the circuits we have built and describe the transfer of energy around the circuit.

We have been learning about similes and how use them to improve our writing.
