Primaries 2 and 2\/1 have had a busy week!\u00a0 In Maths we have been measuring and have been investigating to find things that are tall and short.\u00a0 In P2a we discovered that Kordian was the tallest in our class and Chloe was the shortest.\u00a0 In P2\/1 Alan was the tallest and Tatenda was the shortest.\u00a0 We used cubes which are a non-standard unit of measure to sort characters from Aladdin and measure them.<\/p>\n
In Literacy we read a new book called ‘Who’s our new teacher’ and we worked in pairs to make up questions for the big green dragon.\u00a0 We used the words why, where, how, when and what and had to remember to use a question mark at the end of our sentence.<\/p>\n
We have also been building up an interesting story about our magic carpet adventure.\u00a0 This week we wrote an interesting middle where we met a character in our story.<\/p>\n
I met a giant baby in Egypt. – Archie<\/em><\/p>\n I met Prince Charming. – Aisha<\/em><\/p>\n I met Santa in the North Pole. – Chloe<\/em><\/p>\n I met a dancing Daisy in beautiful Field Land. – Natalia<\/em><\/p>\n I met a flying unicorn. – Zuzanna.<\/em><\/p>\n I met a shark in Australia. – Stephen<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We also learned about St Patrick and made brightly coloured rainbow mobiles with a lucky shamrock and pot of gold hanging from them.\u00a0 We know that St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland.<\/p>\n Wow!
