Wow we have had a busy week!<\/p>\n

In math we have been learning about patterns. We learned that patterns follow an order and that they are all around us. We made patterns with various objects including numicon, lollipop sticks and lego. This week we also learned about the properties (sides and corners) of 2D shapes.<\/p>\n

This week we were preparing for our class mass and we chose to focus this on St Francis of Assissi. In our preparations we made lots of animal pictures and dog biscuits because St Francis of Assissi is the patron saint of animals. Our class mass was on Wednesday afternoon with father Jeremy, at the end we sang ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’.<\/p>\n

In literacy we were learning to read and spell words with the ‘qu’ sound such as queen and quick. In writing we have been focusing on writing a description, and the key element of descriptions which are adjectives. In our writing we described our halloween costumes. We wore our halloween costumes to school on Friday and our teachers were really spooked out by some of our costumes!<\/p>\n
