Primary 5 have had a busy first week back at school.<\/p>\n
In Literacy,\u00a0 we have been learning about poetry and metaphors and similes. We have worked very hard to create our own metaphors and similes and added them to a poem about dogs.<\/p>\n
In Numeracy, we have been continuing to work on money.\u00a0 \u00a0We have been working on subtraction number talk strategies and also using our number bonds knowledge to add and subtract multiples of 10.<\/p>\n
We have been learning about the 10 Commandments and came up with our own commandments that we felt were important.<\/p>\n
This week we have continued with our science topic about our body systems.\u00a0 We have looked at our respiratory system and also our circulatory system.\u00a0 We have been working together to research body organs and locate them in our bodies.<\/p>\n
We have also been making new year resolutions and looking at making targets for ourselves this term.<\/p>\n
