We have been having so much fun and we’ve been working very hard in Primary 1a! Mrs Baty is very proud of us!!<\/em><\/p>\n

We have been learning all about pattern. We know that pattern means ‘it is repeated’. We have been making patterns with colour using counters \/ cubes, and we have begun making patterns with shapes. We also made a pattern using ourselves!!! (sitting and standing).\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Today we read the story of Elmer the Elephant. Elmer was sad because he was different from all the other elephants. He painted himself grey, but quickly realised that by embracing his unique personality and his colours, he was happier and he made everyone else happier. We then spoke about what makes us all special and unique.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We had some brilliant answers:<\/em><\/p>\n

Joshua \u2013 I was really good at football when I was wee<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Olivia- I am very good at swimming and gymnastics<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Ben \u2013 When I was younger I went to football and I was really good<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Toby \u2013 when I am a grown up I am going to be a really good \u00a0fireman<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Rian \u2013 I am really good at football<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Roman \u2013 I am really good at football and I can go under the water<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Daniel \u2013 I am really good at football<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Leo \u2013 I\u2019ve played in lots of football games<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Tyler \u2013 I am good at swimming underneath the water<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Matthew \u2013 I am really good at football<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Lucas \u2013 I am good a lot of games<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Daniella \u2013 My daddy\u2019s daddy used to live in Sri Lanka<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Lennox \u2013 I can jump in the swimming pool from really high <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Abdullah \u2013 I am good with my bike<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Hugh-John \u2013\u00a0 I am good at swimming<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Julia \u2013\u00a0 I am a perfect ballerina<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Nadia \u2013 I am good at ballet<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Dermott \u2013 I am really good at painting<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Arran \u2013 I can speak snail<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Ava \u2013 I am really good at football<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We then decorated our own Elmer in our own unique way. We were excited to add glitter to make them super special.<\/p>\n

Last week we made our beautiful Rainbow Fish, whilst learning about how to be kind to each other by sharing. Our Rainbow Fish look ‘amazing’, ‘fantastic’ and ‘beautiful’ on our wall.<\/p>\n
