This week we are delighted to have Barrowland Ballet visit us through the Imaginate programme. Barrowland Ballet’s latest production “Family Portrait” comprises a video installation and a workshop. You can find more information below. The classes involved will be<\/p>\n

Friday 29th<\/sup> October 2021 \u2013 Primary 4, Primary 5\/4 and Primary 3\/2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Workshop Information
\nBarrowland Ballet is one of Scotland’s most exciting and successful contemporary dance companies based in Glasgow. We are delighted to be visiting your school with our new immersive video installation, Family Portrait, with Theatre in Schools Scotland. \nFollowing the video installation, we will also be delivering post show dance workshops.
\nPlease see below information in advance to ensure your child gets the most out of the experience.<\/p>\n

  1. Workshops will be taking place outdoors in the playground. Please ensure your child is prepared with clothing suitable for working outdoors including trainers, warm clothes and a waterproof jacket.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. We request that each pupil taking part in the workshop brings with them something from nature.
    \nFor example: conkers, autumn leaves, evergreen leaves, moss, ferns, small rocks, a stick with lichen.
    \nPlease ensure your child brings something along on the workshop date mentioned above.<\/li>\n
  3. Please note that Barrowland Ballet will support the school to take photos and videos throughout the workshop. This is for the school only and we will not share publicly or share with any third parties.
    \nAny documentation taken will be treated and stored in line with both Barrowland Ballet and Imaginate’s Child Protection Policies. Barrowland Ballet will work with your school\/teacher to ensure that footage, either photography or video, is not taken of any pupil who currently does not have school photography consent.
