{"id":7380,"date":"2020-06-16T22:32:16","date_gmt":"2020-06-16T21:32:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/StJosephsPS\/?p=7380"},"modified":"2020-06-16T22:34:10","modified_gmt":"2020-06-16T21:34:10","slug":"apply-for-clothing-grant-free-school-meals-and-free-milk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/wl\/StJosephsPS\/2020\/06\/16\/apply-for-clothing-grant-free-school-meals-and-free-milk\/","title":{"rendered":"Apply for Clothing Grant, Free School Meals and Free Milk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you have not applied for Free School Meals, Milk and Clothing Grant check out the information below:<\/p>\n<p>Families in receipt of the following will be eligible for\u00a0<strong>Free School Meals and a Clothing Grant<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Income Support \/ Pension Credit<\/li>\n<li>Income-based Jobseekers&#8217; Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Any Income-Related element of Employment and Support Allowance<\/li>\n<li>Working Tax Credit and\/or Child Tax Credit with an annual income of \u00a37,330 or less<\/li>\n<li>Universal Credit where &#8220;take-home pay&#8221; does not exceed \u00a3610.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Families in receipt of the following will be eligible for a\u00a0<strong>Clothing Grant only<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working Tax Credit and\/or Child Tax Credit with an annual income of \u00a316,105 or less<\/li>\n<li>Universal Credit where &#8220;take-home pay&#8221; does not exceed \u00a31,342.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All children in\u00a0<strong>primary 1, 2 and 3 will receive free school lunches,<\/strong>\u00a0regardless of financial circumstances, however families who are in receipt of the above benefits should complete an application to ensure their child receives free milk and a clothing grant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Pupils<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications can be made by completing our online form. You may need to send us evidence of your benefits to support your application. Any Tax Credit Award Notices should show a confirmed income for 2019\/2020.<\/p>\n<p>Emails\/letters from Education Services and school Group Call texts will be sent to parents, as a reminder to apply, however applications can be made at any time. We will contact families directly if we already know they are in receipt of a qualifying benefit.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"a-body__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westlothian.gov.uk\/article\/43282\/School-Clothing-Grant-Free-School-Meals-and-Milk-Application-Form\">Apply online for school clothing grant, free school meals and milk application form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nursery Children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your child attends one of our early learning and childcare establishments for\u00a0full day provision, and you are eligible for free school meals, a lunch will be provided on the days your child attends.
