\u00a3250 benefit starts Monday and will be fourth new social security benefit.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A brand new benefit for low income families opens for applications on Monday 29 April.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u00a3250 Early Learning Payment is for children aged between two to three and a half and can be used for anything from children\u2019s clothes and shoes to toys, books or days out.<\/span><\/p>\n

This payment is part of the Scottish Government\u2019s new Best Start Grant package. This financial support includes the Pregnancy and Baby Payment, which has been open for applications since December and the Best Start Grant School Age payment which will open in June.<\/span><\/p>\n
