This week we have all been scientists! We have been looking at materials and their properties. We have done lots of experiements this week, such as, making our own glue and writing instructions for this, completing a hankie experiement to see where fabric would dry best, learning about materials that are insoluble and soluable – Miss McKenna was very impressed that we could use this scientific language. We are looking forward to next week for our St Andrew’s Day assembly where we will sing our Scottish song that we have been practising with Mrs England.
P2 Learning Log
This week primary 2 have been enjoying Science experiments during Science Week. We used cornflour and water to make a goo mixture as we were finding out about different materials and their properties. We were learning about the different materials used in buildings. We also did the cleaning coins experiment with Mr Eden. We have been doing lots of singing this week where we have been practicing our singing and acting for the nativty concert.
Science Week in Primary 1T
We are becoming mini scientists in Primary 1T. We have had a really good first day of science week. We explored the classroom to find different materials and then went outside to see what we could find. We found wood, metal, plastic, bricks and glass! Blog Club
In Blog club we have been learning how to do lots of things.
- We learned how to get onto the blog and access the dashboard
- Approve and Disapprove comments.
- We can now add new posts.
- Add new catergories.
P1T 15th November 2013
We have now started practicing for our Nativity this week. It is getting us in the Christmas spirit!
On Tuesday we read the book ‘The Paper Dolls’ by Julia Donaldson. We all made paper dolls which was good fun! Look out for them outside our classroom.
We have also been learning about the police service as part of our topic. We took some finger prints and some of us enjoyed dressing up as a policeman/policewoman!
We also really enjoyed Primary 5’s assembly this morning. What great singers they are!
Primary 3 Weekly learning log 15.11.13
Primary 3 have enjoyed another busy week! We have been learning all about our Scottish Culture and about Edinburgh Castle. We drew line drawings of Edinburgh Castle and we think these look great! We are trying so hard to learn our times tables – some of us are moving on to learn our 3 times tables!! We were so lucky yesterday and got a taster of karate! We loved it! We also wrote another Haiku poem this week on animals! Primary 5 did a good job with their assembly today.

Primary 6 w/e 8.11.13
We had a great start to the week at Forest School – cold but sunny! We were working on building dens this week and we are hoping they are still intact on the 18th so that we can finish them off. Here are some photos:
We also celebrated Elle’s birthday at Forest School and she kindly brought chocolate cake for us to enjoy in the Forest… YUM!
We have started working on internet safety as part of our health with Miss Devine. We are learning how to be safe when using the internet and where to go to if we need help.
Our highlight of the week was the primary 1 assembly. We really enjoyed it and thought all the little ones were fantastic!
