This week has been our second week in Money Fortnight and we have worked so hard! We have been identifying coins, counting up values and calculating change! We have also discussed different uses of money and completed research tasks on various charities. We had a successful open day today and we hope that all who came enjoyed looking at our hard work that we completed on money! We are looking forward to a well deserved break as this as been a very busy and successful first term in primary 3!

Primary 3 – 4th October 2013
Another busy week in primary 3! This week we have had some very interesting lessons about Our Lady. We learned about St Bernadette and Lourdes, we found this very interesting – we looked at the live link ‘Lourdes Grotto Live Web Cam’ if you have time google this and take a look! We have been working hard with our tables and trying hard to beat our Big Maths score! We have had a lot of fun with our topic this week making sweets and also painting our clay ones!
Primary 3 – week ending 27.9.13
Another busy week in primary 3! We are just loving our class topic! This week we designed our very own Wonka factories using black pen to draw it. We also deisgned and made our own sweets out of clay! In maths we have been working very hard on counting on and back in 5s and 10s! We are also trying very hard to beat our score in Big Maths, some of us have even got 40/40! We are looking forward to another busy week next week!
P3 Weekly Learning log – 20.9.13
A short but busy week in primary 3! We have been learning more about symmetry and this week we created symmetrical pictures using paints! We also had so much fun with our topic this week where we got to design our very own sweet – we can’t wait to make them with clay next week! We also looked at ‘World Peace Day’ and talked about what peace means to us – we had some very good discussions on it! Tooday is also Genes for Jeans day! We have all came in our jeans and brought a donation for this worth while cause!
Primary 3 – weekend 13th September
Another busy week in primary 3! We have completed lots of topic work this week where we looked at 4 main characters from the book, Mr Wonka, Charlie, Grandpa Jo and the Oompa Loompas! In maths, we went outside to take pictures of objects that were symmeterical, we had a lot of fun and found lots of symmertrical objects! We are also trying hard to beat our scores in Big Maths! Some of us are very close at getting 40/40! We enjoyed seeing Ian again today from the credit union, where he showed us some amazing magic tricks and encouraged to join the credit union!

Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.
Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under.

A week in primary 3!
We have had a busy week in primary three! We have learned all about Egyptian pharaohs and made our own fact cards about them. We also had a very important talk from ‘powerwise’ telling us how to be safe with electricity. Some of the pupils are also getting ready to make their reconciliation which will be on the 25th March!
