We have been really enjoying our topic Under The Sea and we have been learning about all the different animals you can find there. We worked hard on making some of these animals for our topic wall…
This week in maths we have been learning about fractions and we have been using shapes to make halves and quarters.
On Friday 6th Of March the whole school and nursery will attend an assembly to celebrate World Book day 2015.
All Pupils are invited to bring a copy of their favourite book to school and to dress up as their favourite character from that book. (Please note that the afternoon group in the nursery will celebrate this on Thursday 5th of March instead).
We look forward to celebrating the wonderful world of books with you all.
This week primary 2 have been enjoying Science experiments during Science Week. We used cornflour and water to make a goo mixture as we were finding out about different materials and their properties. We were learning about the different materials used in buildings. We also did the cleaning coins experiment with Mr Eden. We have been doing lots of singing this week where we have been practicing our singing and acting for the nativty concert.

Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.
Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under.
This week we have been learning about Earth hour. In class on Thursday we watched the Earth hour video and we had an hour without power on Thursday afternoon. Today we will bringing home a pledge sheet to ask our mum’s and dad’s to sign up for Earth hour. it is on Saturday from 8.30-9.30 pm. We will do something silly if you will sign up. This week we have been busy practicing for our assembly. We performed very confidently and really enjoyed it. We especially love our Spring Chicken song. Thanks to everyone who came along to support us. We are confident individuals and successful learners.
This week we have been learning our songs and we have been given parts for our assembly. We are all excited and looking forward to performing in front of our parents and the whole school. We enjoyed making our Mother’s day cards and we hope that our mums will like them. We made them to show our mums how much we love them. We enjoyed dressing up as a character from a book on World book day.
