West Lothian Council, Education Services, Admission Arrangements for Specialist Provision 2014
Outcome of the Public Consultation (14 November 2014 – 16 January 2015)
The outcome of the public consultation “West Lothian Council, Education Services, Admission Arrangements for Specialist Provision 2014”, which extended to 35 school days, was published on-line on 30 April 2015.
The outcome of the consultation was reported to the Education Policy and Development Scrutiny Panel on 5 May 2015. An officer report on the outcome of the consultation was considered by the Education Executive on 26 May 2015.
Following careful consideration of the officer report and all of the information received from stakeholders during the consultation period, including the report and recommendations of Education Scotland, the Education Executive agreed to the adoption of: the admission arrangements for specialist provision; and a single catchment area for all specialist provision, to ensure equity within West Lothian for all children and young people with additional support needs.

Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders.
Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under.
