Primary 3 learning log: 31.5.13

Another very busy week in primary 3! Miss McKenna set us a topic challenge for homework, we had to design a T-shirt that would encourage people from other countries to visit Scotland – we can’t wait to see who has won! Through our topic we have been researching famous Scots and looked at Charles Rennie Macintosh – we even created some of his designs! We really enjoyed P4’s assembly about their sacraments and are looking forward to making them ourselves next year!

Another very busy and exciting week! We went on our class trip to Edinburgh Museum and we loved it, we visited the gift shop, had an Egyptian workshop and got to look all over the museum! We have also started our new class topic and this term we will be learning all about Scotland! Today has been very exciting as we have had a cake sale in school to raise funds for a very important cause! The cakes were delicious!

Primary 3 – week ending 26th April

We have just finished our class assembly on Reconciliation! Everyone enjoyed it and we think that they learned something about this sacrament! We worked hard to prepare for this and we wanted to show the full school and our parents all our hard work! On another note, we are all excited about our school trip next week – we are going to Edinburgh museum to look at the Egyptian exhibit!

Primary 3 Learning log 22.3.13

We have had a very busy week! We have been practising for our First Reconciliation that will be held on Monday night and we are feeling confident in saying all our parts and singing all our hymns! The school was also shut this week due to all the snow! Some of us went on the school blog to look at the different snow activities! We also participated in ‘hour without power’ on Thursday to raise awareness for ‘Earth hour’, we turned off all the lights and power and completed activities in the dark! Some of us will be participating in Earth hour on Saturday evening with our families!

A week in primary 3!

We have had a busy week in primary three! We have learned all about Egyptian pharaohs and made our own fact cards about them. We also had a very important talk from ‘powerwise’ telling us how to be safe with electricity. Some of the pupils are also getting ready to make their reconciliation which will be on the 25th March!

Primary 3 – money week!

Primary 3 have been very busy learning all about money week! We counted up a jar full of money and then decided that the best thing to do with it was to give it to charity! We researched lots of different charities and decided to create our very own charity boxes! We have also played some money games, counted up totals and learned how to give back change!  We looked at foreign currency and found this very interesting! We also discussed different needs and wants and created posters to show what we thought! We have learned lots of things this week and we have really enjoyed it!
