This term we are starting with the theme of changes. The key vocabuarly for this topic is  – soft, hard, melt, freeze, dissolve and expand.

The children enjoying making and playing with instant snow in the water tray. Feel and texture were discussed and the changes observed.

We made ice and hid objects inside. The following day in groups we made suggestions on how to get the objects back out. The children are now all familar with the terms melting and freezing.
