Anamorphic Art

P7I were very fortunate to have Mrs Constadine from Whitburn Academy Science department visit them recently to explore anamorphic art.

This is the type of art that was used by followers of Bonnie Prince Charlie as a secret code to show their loyalty without visitors knowing.  The use of a mirrored cup in the centre of tray would display a reflection of a picture of the Prince.  If someone should have visited that you did not want to see that you believed in the Jacobite cause, then you simply removed the cup!

  1. whoo hoo my one is there!!!! its amazing how when you take the can and put it on a normal graph it looks normal but then you put it on the other graph and it looks like that!!
