We had a ball during Scottsih Book Week 2012, learning all about different authors who come from Scotland or who live and work in Scotland. We focused on Julia Donaldson, author of children’s books such as, The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, Cave Baby, Stick Man and many more!

We picked out the main ideas in the story, described the different features that Julia Donaldson uses to make her books so successful and even created and played our very own board game related to our chosen story! It was so much fun, and the week’s classroom activities culminated in us visiting P2F, P2M and P2S to read our stories to the younger children and to let them have a go at playing the games we had designed! It was so much fun, and the P2s enjoyed it too! 🙂
